This term we will be looking at the Victorian era and finding out what it would have been like to grow up between 1837-1901.
So far, we have learnt about Queen Victoria and her family and we have looked at some Victorian artefacts.
This week we will be considering what it would have been like to be a child growing up and going to school in Victorian times.
To find out more about the Victorians, have a look at the links to useful websites at the bottom of this page.

Handwriters of the Week
We have tuck on a Tuesday. Children may bring in money to buy a healthy snack. Each item costs 30p.
Children may bring in a healthy snack to have during morning break. This could include fruit, vegetables, cheese or yogurts.
Children are expected to read with an adult at least three times a week. Reading records need to be signed after reading at home. As books are taken from a key stage set, children need to look after their books and make sure that they bring them to school each day.
Year 3/4 will have P.E on a Wednesday. Children should have a school P.E kit which should remain in school all term. P.E kits will be sent home at the end of term to be washed. The kit should include a school tracksuit, a white P.E t-shirt, and black or blue shorts. Children should also have a pair of trainers for outside P.E. Tracksuits can be ordered from the school office.
Children should have a pair of daps or alternative shoes to wear indoors.
